Income Tax Depreciation - EHP5

Hi

SAP has introduced income tax depreciation (as per Indian Income Tax) in EHP5.

We are on Developement server with EHP5. Now i want to know from where i need to start configuration for depreciation as per income tax.

I am not getting the steps. Please help.

Earlier i just used to define income tax depreciation area and create group asset. Please let me know what step i need to do for EHP5.

Mate...

As per the Block of assets / Group asset concept...

We have only 2 steps to do for Dep. Area 15 for Income Tax act.

OAYM - Select the Dep. area 15 here.

OAAX - Here you need to select the Asset Classes for Group assets (Normally we don't do anythinhg here)

Then your Group Asset will get activated.

Create a Group asset in AS21

AS01, try to create an asset.......Tab "Depreciatiin areas" (last tab)

Double click on Dep. area 15

In the next screen....you will be able to find the "Group Asset" field

But this configuration is as per EHP 5 too? If yes the what new thing SAP has introduced in EHP5 regarding income tax depreciation.

Currently we are using ECC 6.0 with EHP4

No idea what could be the change in EHP5

Hi,

You need to activate following components.

1.FIN_LOC_CI_8 and 2. EA-FIN

Then do following customising activities

1. First you need to activate Indian Specific Master Data by going into SPRO -> Asset Accounting -> Master Data -> Screen Layout -> Activate Country Specific Master Data
2. Add Group Box "S0400"  to the Tab Page by going into SPRO -> Asset Accounting -> Master Data -> Screen Layout -> Specify Tab Layout for asset master Record -> Define Tab Layout for Asset Master Data
3. You should then add the corresponding Tab layout to the Asset Class you want to use for the assets for IT depreciation solution.
