Connecting BAAN with BW

Hi Team,

I have a requirement for connection SAP BW to BAAN ERP.

I have no idea about BAAN ERP.

Can anyone please provide me proper steps that I need to take care for making this connection?

Hi Vipin,

If you need to extract data from BAAN ERP then you can go for DB connect or UD connect.

But if you want to send data to BAAN ERP then you will have to load data in APD's using Open Hub destination or APD's and then BAAN ERP needs to extract data from SAP BW through their connectors.

Hi Vipin,

Basically SAP BW has not direct adapter to connect to Baan ERP like we correct to SAP Ecc systems, but we can still connect to BaanERP by using DB Connect and fetching data from tables of the BaanERP database (Oracle, MS-SQL, etc).

Before going for same you need to this on below point on design perspective.

1) How delta functionality will be maintained

2) Do you going to use same transitional tables for fetching data from BaanERP tables.

3) How you are going to Map SAP names with BaannERP names. As entities named differently in BaanERP and SAP.
