Java instance gone after export of system copy

Hi Guys,

I am doing a NW7.3 Java export on the source system, it completed OK. After that, the system can not be started up. It failed during 'synchronizing binaries'.

Below is the error:

-

Error while persisting instance profile for component [Configuration Manager] of type [external]

com.sap.engine.frame.core.configuration.NameNotFoundException: Configuration [ID1093382] not found in [cluster_config/system/instances]

-

I can login to configtool but the instance is gone.

Anyone got any idea?

Thanks,

    Hi,

System is not able to find Instance ID. Could you please check if instance ID exists in config tool ?

Are there any changes in the system during or after export ?

Please also paste error logs from default trace after restarting the system again.

    Thanks

    Sunny

      Hi Jun Liang,

did you export also the java central instance, besides the database?

you can also try via config tool, on the source system to export the instance, and the import it in the config tool

      of the destination system.

      Best Regards

if you are upgrading from 7.x version to 7.3, then you NO more require system export rather you have the complete db backup and restore and build the 7.3.

can you check if the java releavent services are starting at all?

may be for JLaunch, JControl etc

and also you may to access the default Java URL http://<Host>:<http port>/irj

    Hi,

It because of ID1093382 mismatch, In source you will have differnet ID XXXXX and in target a different one.

BestOption: You need to update very carefully your instance.properties file with the source ID.

    Regards

    Iliyas.
