Hi,
My Client Requirement is:-
I have a sales order & in that I maintained 5 Line item.
Delivery Dates of sales order line item are- 23.02.2012, 22.03.2012, 23.04.2012, 23.05.2012, 23.06.2012.
Planning Horizon =120 days
Sales Order creation date= 01.01.2012
When system run MRP Background at night , planned order generated for all sales order line item even though sales order 4 & 5 are out of planning horizon.
We Set Processing key NETPL in variant. When I run MRP manually it considered planning horizon period & does not generate planned order for out of planning Horizon. I don't want that 23.05.2012 & 23.06.2012 SO line Planned order.
Where is the problem??
Please gives me Expert Advice very soon....
hI,
As per my understanding, since u r using sales order based senario, system pick up requirement from sales order,
not from PIR where U enter planning horizon details,
pl. try following setting into VOV6,
create new schedule line category i.e ZO -NO MRP
under tab transaction flow,untick REQ/ASSEMBLY & AVAILABILTY.
set this newly craeted item category into Sales order line item where u wish not create planned orders -click on material-schedule line category-select here newly created NOMRP category --save sales order,
rerun MRP into md02, then check results ,no planned order will be craeted for the line items,
Reward points if u satisfied or close the thread.
Regards,
Devendra

Dear Rahoul,
There's no limit to the planning horizon of MRP; it will generate planning as long as there are requirements.
There are a few "horizons" related to MRP, and this must be the reason of your confusion. There is a rescheduling horizon, and a NETPL - net change in planning horizon. All the later is doing is to include in the planning run only those materials that have undergone a change in the planning horizon, but once the material is included in planning it will, as I said, create planning for all requirements.
Later, when you convert planned orders, you can filter by date.
