Copy of DTP from DSO to another DSO in BW 7.x

Hi Experts,

I have seen couple of postings but still not clear what is the correct way to do this copy. I have to copy the existing DSO to the new DSO so need to copy the transformations as well as DTPs.

I have copied the DSO and transformations using the right click on DSO as well as transformations .. but could not find copy option on DTPs... Can anybody advise as to how could we copy the DTP existing under the current DSO ?

Any recommendations ?

As already said by others above there is no possibility to copy DTP even in BW 7.3 unless you do not deploy custom ABAP tools like the one provided above.

However in 7.3 there are some other options. E.g. new functionality called Data Flows. Via this you can create and later copy data flows whatever you like with all corresponding objects (e.g. DTP, Transformations..). See documentation:

Hi ,

There is no option of copying the DTP . You need to create the new DTP mentioning the source and the Target inof providers .

DTP 's always refer to the Transformation between the source and the Target info providers .

Hi Sunil,

I don' think so we have this option in BI. We need to create the DTP to your new DSO manually.

Please create the DTP( DTP is always one to one, we can not copy using one dtp)
