For ex:MI04 writes 5 tables,LSMW record writes to 1 table..

can you explain that in more detail?

What import method do you have in your LSMW ?

Thanks experts,

Your answers are very valuable for us;Really appretiated..

Regarding our doubts;

For Ex: We enter DATA manually by MI04.IT affects some tables.,Lets say A,B,C,D .I do not know ehich ones actually now.

When we use LSMW record istead of MI04 ,Maybe İt affects only table A;The other tables are not uploadad because of LSMW recor??

You appear to be speculating, why not just try it in your Dev system. Table updates should be idential for data entered via LSMW or online tx.

from where do you take these strange assumptions?

if you record MI04 with LSMW, then the last step of LSMW is to excute this recording. And the recording does nothing else than executing MI04 with the data that are read from your source file and got converted to the target structures.

Hence the same tables are filled. even more if you count the tables that are used for the LSMW activity itself.

i want to give more imfo why it is important for us.

The SAP consultnt claim that Using LSMw record affect the tables.

.And they want us exttra 7 days to ceraet a way to mass entry of inventory count. WE think that they cheat us..WE create LSMW record at DEV system and we did not seee any problem but we also did not control the tables .BEcause we do not know which tables can be affected from MI04 transtaion other than ISEG..İf you inform us which tables we should check ,we are appretiated..

They certainly cheat you if they need 7 days for this LSMW development. (What do you pay, I do it in one day.)

But they probably offer more than just the development: like functional and technical documentation , reconcilation reports, maybe the entire process from creating inventory docs to posting of differences. Testing, training, knowledge transfer, go-live support.

LSMW does not do direct table entries (with a few exceptions, which are still SAP given) , LSMW only executes recorded transactions or SAP given import methods (BAPI, IDOC) which are save and you dont need to care about the tables yourself.

LSMW methods should produce exactly the same results as processing a transaction manually e.g. same validations are applied, same tables updated.

Double check tables updated by your run of LSMW.
