IDES ecc 6.0 on maxdb - startp, but no login?

Hello, I've installed an IDES EC 6.0 with maxdb some months ago which worked fine for a while. I Had to shutdown the system because off server maintance (VMware), and after restarting the system nobody can login.

In the managament-console the systems seems to be up, I can start my sapgui and get an login-screen, but of I type in my user / password, nothing more happens.

(Tried with idadmin, sap*)

(IF I try with invalid user/password, I get the correct error message "name or password not correct")

??? I stoped and started the sap again several times, I can login to the database (sqlcli) and tried to find any logfile which tells me anything about the problem, but I cannot find...

Have you got MaxDB Database Studio installed? if yes, then connect to the database using the Studio and check the status of the database. If you notice issues with the Log area or the Data are then first fix it. Additionally check the SAP work process trace files present at /usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGS00/work to see the errors.

Hi Falk,

Why don't you check dev_w* logs, these will have error statements. You can post the logs here also.

Also check your log and data area as well. Sometime if your log area is full , User's don't get to login into SAP application.
