Happy New year !
I am in need of some assistance with BOBJ that I am struggling with : ( we are running Business Objects Enterprise XI 3.1 on AIX when a user runs a report on the clinet the report rund in 30 secounds, when the report is run through Business Objects then it takes 6 minutes. We have monitotered the Infratstructure of the business objects serrver and can see no indication of CPU / Disk or memory problems. From a recent TFC check via SAP we have made the following changes .....
1/ Where we had 2 nodes running on 1 physical box we now only have the 1
2/ We have disabled services that are not used and could be hogging memeory e.g WEBI
3/ We have setup a dedicated cache for the reports
None of these suggestions have made any difference : (
Personally I believ that the problem lies in the Business Objects server, possible the rendering of the information ? what monitors / tools can I use / install to show me any bottleneck in this area ??
Other thna that I have suggested that Basis run some traces on the quesries etc to see if the delay is in the backend system, although if the report runs locally I woudl suggest that this OK. the other thing that I have suggested is that the Backend BW system is monirotred from a infrstaructure level.
I am struggling guys, what tools are available for me in Business Objects ??
Any help appreciated
Thanks
