Hello Srikanth,

Can you please let us know which OS is it?

1)If its windows, I will suggest you to stop every services of sap and SQL in services and then restart it.

After that try to start your SAP system.

2)IF its AIX or LINUX, I will suggest you to kill every process running leaving behing only root processes, ie kill processes running with id <sid>adm and database id.

After that try to restart the SAP system.

Hope it helps..

Hello Srikant,

Restart the box, then delete the entry in file dev_disp and dev_w0.

After that try to restart the SAP, after that once error thrown or DISPatcher gets stopped then

post the recent log of dev_disp and dev_w0 file from work directory.

Hello Srikanth,

Can you please check if your R3trans -d is working?

Regards,

Hi Amit,

Seems to be somebody changed the protocal in SQL server to be named pipe from TCP/IP.

You can check this in ConfigurationManager-> sql native client option-> protocals and make sure TCP/IP is having prioity than Named pipe.

Thanks,
