Speeding up infocube compression

Hello.

I was wondering whether anyone has an idea to speed up the compression of an infocube.

The documentation says:

Compressing one request takes approx. 2.5 ms per data record.

Isn't it possible to speed this up? When looking into the hardware utilization at the time of compression the system doesn't utilize much of the ressources given, that is in terms of CPU, Memory and IO.

Any help would be appreciated.
