May have inadvertently modified the permissions for folder 'Portal Content'. Now when non-SuperAdmin users attempt to login to portal, following message appears:
Error occurred while trying to access desktop: "portal_content/every_user/general/defaultDesktop". The object does not exist or you are not authorized to access it. If this problem persists, contact your system administrator.
Tried to reset permissions with 'Reset child permissions' button and received message:
Permissions for this object were modified; the object no longer inherits permissions.
Admin users can logon fine, but not any other users. Any help is greatly appreciated in advance.
regards,
Steve Helmlinger
Hi all,
First check if you have assigned roles to end users at least the end user role. If yes then goto System Administration > portal display > Desktops & Display Rules > portal content > portal users > standard portal users --> Edit permissions of the default desktop and check if the problematic user has atleast read permission ?
Cheers!!

I am experiencing the same exact problem and was wondering if you were able to resolve it and how.
Thank you very much for any guidance.
