ODS Request

Hi

I have a scenario where I have to update ODS(2) from

ODS(1). The ODS(1) is also updating to one cube.

In the manage of ODS(1) I saw several requests with red status due to source(CRM) system down since last few days . So i deleted those red oned.

Now I am left with all the request with green status, the latest one was a request of green status only but had a tick with execute sign under data mart symbol which says" Request for data mart repeat possible or not yet picked up by all data marts(target systems)" . Because of this neither I am able to execute delta to load the data further nor I am able to proceed further.

Any help/suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Thanks and regards,

Priya Verma.

You have to load manually from ODS1 to ODS2 to proceed further.

Hello Priya,

1. How many data targets are fed from ODS1 in addition to ODS2. I presume only one at this point.

2. a) If ODS2 is the only one that's being fed from ODS1, then make sure that the latest request in green is not already loaded into ODS2 from ODS1.

b) If this request is not already loaded into subsequent data targets (the datamart status should be blank).

c) Or if this request is already loaded into ODS2, then you can set the QM status for this request in ODS2 to red and then delete this request from ODS2.

d) for the latest green request in ODS1, click on datamart status and delete the request (reset delta management).

e) then you should be able to load the delta from ODS1 to ODS2 as per Ravi's post

Should you have more than one data target being fed from ODS1, then you need to make sure that this "latest green request in ODS1" is not already loaded into the subsequent data targets or alternatively if it's already loaded, then you may want to change the QM status to red for this request in all the subsequent data targets, and delete this request. And then follow the steps from d) onwards as above.

Hope it helps,

Sree
