Clearing input cells after expand all

Hi

If I type a formula into input cell and click "Expand all", the cell is not cleared. Is there a way to force input cells to be cleared after "Expand all"? We are using BPC 7.0.

Regards,

Prikka

    Hi Prikka,

there is no way to clear formulas while expanding, if you enter them in the top left cell of your range. So you need to write a VBA macro with clears your top left cell before expanding. Therefore an event is existing, BEFORE_EXPAND which you can use to run your macro.

    Hope this helps, Regards

    Hi,

Is the cell with the formula belong to a dynamic expansion? If yes, then expansion will remove the formula and should fetch the proper data from the database. However, if the template is not dynamic, then the formula will remain intact.

    Hope this helps.

      Hi,

Could you please clarify your answer?

I did following: I created dynamic input schedule and entered a formula directly in to cell that is used for data input. After I expand all, the formula that I typed to the cell is replaced with the value that is the result of this formula. Result remains the same if I use saved input schedule. Our users want that the input cell is completely cleared from formulas and/or values after expanding.

      Regards,

    Hi,

you must check that the cell is inside the expand area, and that in the evdre() is assigned the expanded region.

    Kind regards

    Roberto
