Dynamic Shift Planning

Hi experts,

In my current client it has been decided to implement Shift Planning module where i face some problems regarding with the design of the solution. In terms of organization, there are 5 shift teams where each shift team consists of 4 team members. Each month the shift schedule rotates between those teams, however during the rotation there can be some changes in the shift schedule of the team cos of the number of days of the month.

would it be the best case if i make the configuration as below:

with the given information, defining the period work schedules as rotating, and defining 5 different period work schedules and assign those to each member of the team. then in the pp61 shift planning part, when they make any changes in the daily work schedules of the employees, those would be saved in Substitutions infotype. is that correct?

I appreciate your helps in advance,

Ebru

You can do it as you have explained, OR, you can create the Daily Work Schedules and the codes to create Shift Sequences. The shift sequences are created based on shift groups and can be assigned to all employee's within that shift group. If an employee's shift changes for a particular day, the new shift abbreviation code can be assigned in TR - PP61 and this will be created as a substitution record in IT2003.

Thanks,
