Hi ,
I had two questions: Kindly help
1.
In SNP2 Tab, we have two option under deployment
a. Consider Forecast at Source Location
b. Consider Sales order at Source Location.
In the above two special cases of deploymen, the supply would be picked only from source location or destination location or both.
Also Please tell me in the normal deployment process, where is the supply looked at -- source location or destination location or both.
2.
Please let me know the difference between APO VMI and R3 VMI
Regards,
SS
Hi
Regarding your deployment question:
Deployment normally considers the demand at 'Target Location' ONLY.......,=>ATD at Source will be used for the Target location Dist. demands ..But when You use the flag for 'consider...Forecast/sales order',You can consider these demands at 'Source' too!!
q2:VMI --is already in another thread...
Best Regards
Suresh

Hi Sriman,
For your first query,
These are relevant only for real-time deployment runs to carryout fair share distribution of receipts between the demand elements at the source and the destination.
In the regular deployment heuristic, only the receipts at the source are considered (in the ATP qty calculation).
Receipts at the destination are considered by Heuristic itself before propagating NR.
But deployment can refer to the receipt situation at destination for example to determine the target stock coverage (Fair share B).

Ashok
