Hello Team,

I have below scenario and need help on the same.

1) I need to differentiate change master and ECR with number range can this be done?

2) For Team A - need to give only ECR and change master active status control. For Team B- Only change master but in inactive status control How to achieve this?

3) I have created profiles with status profiles under enge change mang section , but how to make this field mandatory in CC31 or CC01 screen? I browsed and got info like should be activated etc...but i was not able to activate the profiles which were created in Engg. change management section.

Regards,

satish

Dear Satish,

1.If my understanding is correct then its internally in the system for the type - Change master and ECR the change number

object used is AENNR and where in you can assign a common number range group and it will be used for creating change

numbers of both these types. It's not as like the production order type where you can link a different number ange for each

order type.

2.Try whether this option will work out for meeting your requirement. In the standard SAP 2 set of number range (one

internal numbe range and one for external will be assigned) exists.so aaume for CC01 you can make use of the internal

number range, where during CC01 without any value for the field change number you can proceed. When creating through

CC31 you can make use of external number range by giving the change number as the input and you save the data.

check and revert back.

Thanks a lot Mangal raj,

Now my doubt is how to assign internal number range to CC01 and external to CC31?

Dear Satish,

There is no configuration or setting where we can assign the number range for these 2 T.Codes CC01 and CC31.

As I have mentioned in my previous reply to this thread, the object AENNR is used for both these 2 T.codes.

So when using CC01 or CC31 you can either mention the change number which you want in the input screen of CC01/CC31

and create the data or else the system will propose you the change number after saving the data.

So you can use CC01 for creating change numbers without mentioning the change number in CC01(It means internal numbers

are used) and in CC31 by mentioning the change number in the initial screen itself you can make use of external number range

defined.By this way you can differentiate between ECR/Change master.

check and revert back.
