Users connecting to bsp application on WAS need to be created as R/3 users?

Hi,

We are developping a BSP application on WAS for users who are not used to connect to R/3.

I want to know if even they are not direct users of R/3, they need to be declared as R/3 users ?

In fact, we are thinking to create a special module to vérify the user authentification in our BSP application.
