AB08-In area 01, you can only post manual dep. up to the amount

Hi All,

We have posted unplanned deprecation INR 16,060.39 in asset all areas, after that depreciation was also ran.

we have tryed to reverse the unplaneed depreciation in the current month got the below error message"

In area 01, you can only post manual dep. up to the amount 18,705.63-

Message no. AA649

Asset affected: 11223455..

if anyboody knows the solution please let us know.

    Hi:

    Check in OADB.. Define Depreciation Areas.What you have entered in value Maintenance ...Unplanned Depreciation.

    Your setting is " Only negative values or Zero Allowed" that is why you are getting this message. For unplanned depreciation posting with TT 640 you can post unplanned depreciation on prior-year acquisitions. In AW01N if you see that the net book value at fiscal year start will be 0.00. For more information please refer to OSS Note 50761.

      Thanks for your quick reply.

      there 3 assets which unplanned with type 641 posted in the june month and depreciation was also ran.

      while reversing unplanned amount 2 assets system is allwoed to posted sucessfully t.code AB08 howver while reversing 3 rd asset got the error message.
