login/multi_login_users parameter exceptions

Hi.

I want to avoid multiple logons for the users, except for someone...

When I made a test with my user on our development system I saw that, when my user is as a exception, inside the parameter (login/multi_login_users), the notification of 'the user <user> is connected to the system' dissappears and the user doesn't knows if he has logged yet or not...

It's possible to allow multiple logon for certain users without dissappearing the notification?

Thanks in advance,

Oscar

    Hi Oscar,

You can look into the user exit associated for login process. May be by doing some coding changes you can achieve it.

As a standard practise it is not possible to make the notification visible with login/multi_login_users parameter activated.

    Hi Oscar,

You can enter max 128 chars for a profile parameter. So, it will be so much restricted, if you are planning to add many users to the profile.

On the other hand, there is only one user-exit on the logon screen named as SUSR0001, but as far as I understand that it will not correspond with your needs. This is because it is, called during the logon and not able to affect on multiple users pop-up.

    Hello,

Could you please check that while including the list of users in the

profile parameter login/multi_login_users, you have observed

    the following restrictions:

o user names must be specified in upper case,

o blank characters between the user names or in front of the

first user name are not allowed,

o user names must be separated using separator:

    - Separator = ','

    Correct: login/multi_login_users=ALPHA,BETA,GAMMA,DELTA

    Incorrect: login/multi_login_users= ALPHA, BETA,GAMMA , DELTA

o no generic user names (containing '*') allowed

    regards,

    John Feely

Standard parameter doesn't shows the pop-up.

    1) But if multil station login is enabled for particular users, it doesn't mean that allowing N number of users to do their

transactions (It's against to licensing concept).

    2) If multi station login is enabled, then also users have a single password that must be confidential (Other can not login).

    3) Audit logs can write the entire history
