How to create ovs component in ByD.

what is the use and how to create ovs(Object Value Selector) component in ByD.

Hi,

an OVS is a popup window to select a Business Object e.g. a customer in a sales Order or a service performer in a service order (it also enables the auto-completion function).

There are already a lot of OVS available and if you find one you can use, I recommend you to use this instead of creating a new.

But if you can`t find one, you can create one in ByDesign Studio by adding a new item -> Object Value Selector.

After that you can open the OVS in UI Designer, go to Data tab and bind a business object to the root node and attributes. By default return parameters are the ID and name of the bound Business Object (automatically created attributes of advanced list pane). So you only have to bind those 2 parameters and save and activate OVS.

can u explain above thing with location ovs component. previously i completed above scenario with employee ovs component.

what do you mean with "location component"? A location can be a ship-to location or a ship-from location, for example.

Lot of OVS components are available in ByD. In that one i find Location ovs component. so, my question is what is the use of location ovs component, when we are using that one.
