2LIS_11_VAHDR enhancement

Hi Friends,

The DataSource 2LIS_11_VAHDR is already active and we are using it from few months to extract data into BW InfoCube. we need to add 5 more additional fields . These 5 fields are available in LBWE trasction in maintain extract structure, but those field were not considered initially when DataSource was activated.

What are the steps needs to be taken to add these 5 fields?

Do we have to delete all data in InfoCube and reload data after these 5 fields are added?

DO we need to delete and reload SETUP tables again?

Hi,

you will have to do mapping of all these new fields right till the data target and activate all objects in the data flow ( DS , DTP , DSO , Infocube etc).

if you need historical data , then delete data and reload using full load from setup table ( these need to be deleted and filled again ).

if you do not need historical data then existing delta will work.

    I am asking vbak table under we have field that field are not showing in communication structure how to add that field to communication structure.

hi sahasra.

1. go to lbwe and deactivate ur extract structure,

2. enhance ur extract structure by adding the required 5 fields from communication structure to extract structure(rhs to lhs).

3. activate ur extract structure

4. delete setup table (lbwg)

5. fill ur setup table (oli7bw)

log on to ur bw system

6. replicate ur data source(2lis_11vahdr)

if u need to load historical data then u have to delete the data fromm ur cube and reload as a full upload..

or if u dont need historical data then continue with ur normal delta upload...

hi

first enhance the data source , with the 5 fields from communication struct to extract struct. then add the fields to cube, if you are using dso then add for it and map the source fields and target. replicate and activate the data source, the objects in BI, then activate cube/dso or both.

if you want daltas then no need to fill setup tables

if you want old data the fill setup tables ( first delete setup tables.) .
