SAP_WebDynpro_XSS run-time error

Hi all,

I'm working on Sap NetWeaver SR1 EPSP9 with mySAP ERP 2004 - ECC 5.0 as back-end system. I imported ESS 60.2 and when I try to show functionality i get following error:

Application URL 'http:///webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/pcui_gp~xssutils/XssMenu' is not valid! Please check the protocol and host entries for system 'SAP_WebDynpro_XSS'..

'SAP_WebDynpro_XSS' has been defined as alias system.

Have I to import Sap_XSS Add-on in ECC 5.0 to solve the problem?

    Michele look a the beginning of the URL it has HTTP:///....

    it should have something like HTTP://<host>:<port>/

    your seem to be missing this in your connection setting.

    The log viewer should be able to show you all the logs. Remember there is a browse buttom which allows you to go to other directories (say for example if you have multiple systems server0 server1 etc).

    Hi Mik,

    Right now, I have installed ESS 60.2 also on my EP 6.0sp12 environment.

    I have a question, the system 'SAP_WebDynpro_XSS' should be my ECC 5.0 server ? or my J2EE server ?

    It seems that it should be the J2ee server (because there are the webdynpro apps).

    Would you mind to describe which steps you did in order to get this working ?

    I have the same question as Diego. Which WAS should the SAP_WebDynpro_XSS system point to? The Portal or the ECC?

    That depends where you deploy the business package and pcui. These are java .sca files, they must be deployed to a java instance
