SAP_WebDynpro_XSS run-time error

Hi all,

I'm working on Sap NetWeaver SR1 EPSP9 with mySAP ERP 2004 - ECC 5.0 as back-end system. I imported ESS 60.2 and when I try to show functionality i get following error:

Application URL 'http:///webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/pcui_gp~xssutils/XssMenu' is not valid! Please check the protocol and host entries for system 'SAP_WebDynpro_XSS'..

'SAP_WebDynpro_XSS' has been defined as alias system.

Have I to import Sap_XSS Add-on in ECC 5.0 to solve the problem?

thanks in advance

Michele look a the beginning of the URL it has HTTP:///....

it should have something like HTTP://<host>:<port>/

your seem to be missing this in your connection setting.

    Hope this helps

The log viewer should be able to show you all the logs. Remember there is a browse buttom which allows you to go to other directories (say for example if you have multiple systems server0 server1 etc).

    Hi Mik,

Right now, I have installed ESS 60.2 also on my EP 6.0sp12 environment.

I have a question, the system 'SAP_WebDynpro_XSS' should be my ECC 5.0 server ? or my J2EE server ?

It seems that it should be the J2ee server (because there are the webdynpro apps).

Would you mind to describe which steps you did in order to get this working ?

    Thank you!

    REgards from Mexico,

    Diego

I have the same question as Diego. Which WAS should the SAP_WebDynpro_XSS system point to? The Portal or the ECC?

    Thanks,

    Bert

That depends where you deploy the business package and pcui. These are java .sca files, they must be deployed to a java instance

    hope this helps
