      Hi,

If the subreport is placed in the header and if you wish to suppress this section when the subreport is blank, here's what you need to do:

      1) Right-click the subreport and select Format Subreport > Subreport tab > Check Suppress Blank Subreport

      2) Now, go to Section Expert and select the header section that holds the Subreport and check 'Suppress Blank Section

      Regards

    Hi,

If the Subreport is placed in the Report Footer, you cannot suppress the Details section of the Main Report.

Can you not place the Subreport on the Group Header? This way you can suppress the Details Section.

    • In the case that you can't put the sub-report in the header and you can only place it in the footer, what I've done is I've recreated the exact same subreport and placed it in the header but supressed all sections. I then tested to see if any records would be found and using shared variables I pass the information back to the main report. You can then suppress the main reports details if no records were found in the sub-report.
