BW - Delta for Master data not loading

Former Member

Hello All,

I am not able to load delta for master data of vendor and material.

The initial load works fine but when I load delta it gives an error

" The extraction program does not support object 0vendor"

" ALE change pointers are not set up correctly"

Do i need to activate the change pointer in BD61. I was not sure so checking up with all experts.

Regards

Vanya

Hi Vanya,

the preconditions for a delta upload are that change document objects are written and that ALE change pointers are created.

During this process the system writes information in table ROMDDELTA for each datasource for which change document objects change documents are created and which table is accessed for the creation of the change document.

Usually this configuration is already set by the system...

Hello Robert,

Thnaks for the answer, but I checked the table, there are 236 entries for Vendor in LFa1 - whic is the table for vendor. The changed doc object is kred.

The problem is the initial upload is going fine extracting all the 236 records but for delta it is giving this problem.

Could you explain me the process as o how to go about it.

I even activated the Change pointer in bd61 but still it gives me the same error.

Hi Vanya,

Do you really need a delta load of master data? Why don't do a full load periodically?

Best regards,

Hello Eugene,

There is a delat upload required. If you do a full upload for object like Material, customer, vendor etc, the system performance will go for a toss. Because the record numbers would be very high.

I have not checked a note on this, will do that.

But I guess there are some settings which need to be done for that, waas checking on that.

Do you know what are those settings.

Hi Ravi,

We faced the same problem as you for 0MATERIAL_ATTR and we solved it by the following steps,

1. Delete the previous Delta Init for the InfoObject

If you have access to R/3 Side you can follow the steps or you can follow the BW Steps

Goto RSA7 ->Select and Delete the Init for the InfoObject

From BW Side

InfoPackage-> Inti for Source System -> Select & Delete

2. Execute the Init InfoPackage for the InfoPackage again.

3. After successful completion, execute the delta InfoPackage.

We have have got resolved by doing these steps and it may help for your problem as well.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi

Once we also faced the same problem. Our senior consultant just checked the check mark in T-code BD61 - Change pointer activated generally. Hope it works
