hi, everybody.
We prepare transition from version 4.5 on 5.0.
I have a local problem (task) - to understand new features of PS - PPM Integration scenarios.
Earlier I worked with version 4.5. Now i have 5.0 sp 06. And erp - ECC 6.0 ehp 3 for PS.
I heard that there were new possibilities for Integration moments. But I do not understand (not assured):
1. Is it true, and where i can read about this? Please send to me the letter if there is an information.
2. It is necessary to install EHP5 to ERP or It doesn't influence new possibilities?
Searched all the day at help.sap.com and service.sap.com - Has found only one useful document "SAP Portfolio and Project
Management: Configuration" for 5.0. Probably read badly, but in it hasn't seen new possibilities
one more -
While has found only one difference - at new ERP system we have new SPRO section at "Integration with Other mySAP.com Components" - "named SAP Portfolio and Project Management".
Maintain Gen. Settings for Portf. and Proj. Mgmt Intgrn
Maintain Controlling Area and Valuation View Mapping
Maintain Settlement Behaviour
Customize Portf. and Proj. Mgmt Value Type
Convert Working Time Unit
3. Do any one know for what it is used?
Thanks.
Hi Alex,
Please refer to the link below for SAP PPM 5.0 features.
http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=250777127
And regarding your specific questions, please see below.
1) With SAP PPM 5.0, now project in SAP PS can be created directly corresoponding to portfolio item in PPM. And ICO integration with SAP ECC is not RFC based rather than Idoc in earlier verision. Refer to the note 1427365 for more details.
2) Relate to node "Integration with Other mySAP.com Components", with SAP 5.0 not the cost integration with SAP ECC is enhanced and you can influence what all need to be considered for the integration between SAP PPM and SAP ECC.
Hope this answers your query.
Cheers
Amit
