Hi Guys,
Is it possible to create a Bar Chart with Line (3 dimesional) graph in Crystal Reports 2008.
I want a dimension value in X-axis, 2 measure values in Y- axis & Z-axis respectively.
Please refer to the pic in the link [Graph to be created|http://www.mypicx.com/12272011/Reort_Graph/]
Can we create a graph like this in Crystal Reports 2008. I tried using 3D Riser but no use.
Please advice on the creation of this chart
Thanks in Advance,
Mitch.
Hi Mitch,
Yes you can create a chart that shows Bar and Line together. Here's what you need to do:
1) Insert a Line chart with the dimension value in X-axis and the 2 measure values in the 'Show Values'
2) Refresh the report and in the Preview mode select the Line that you would like to be shown as a Riser (Bar)
3) Right-click the line and select Series Options > from the drop-down for 'Selected Series' select 'Riser'
Note : You can select the Line only in the Preview Mode. Hope this helps!

Hi Abhilash,
The above works when there are 2 measure values for creating a simulated 3-D graph, but we have a requirement to display 1 measure value split by 3 dimension objects.
Below is the sample data -
Year | Age Group | Case Type | Patient Count |
2013 | 18-25 | Pre-HT | 248 |
2013 | 25-55 | Pre-HT | 34 |
2013 | >= 55 | Pre-HT | 0 |
2013 | 18-25 | High BP | 2033 |
2013 | 25-55 | High BP | 874 |
2013 | >= 55 | High BP | 1076 |
2012 | 18-25 | High BP | 1050 |
2012 | 25-55 | High BP | 750 |
2012 | >= 55 | High BP | 1500 |
We are using Crystal Reports 2008 and need to show the above data in one single chart (something like Clustered Cylinder chart). We tried multiple chart types and in combination, but unable to find a feasible solution. Please let us know if this is possible?

Parm
