Assets wrongly settled in next period and need to reverse

Hello Experts,

We are using Sep to Oct months as year, I settled 4 internal orders but on settlement I used the date of 1st Jan, 2012 instead of 31st December, 2011. I ran my deprecation for period 3 and the assets were missing from the depreciation schedule as the 1st Jan is in period 4!

I then went into the assets (AS02) and changed the asset value date to the 31st December and the Depreciation areas to the 31st December, 2011 and then ran my depreciation again using repeat mode. However, the depreciation for period 3 has been included in period 4.

How can I manage this situation, all expenses are posted to IO then it will be posted to AUC asset then it will get settled to asset.

Please guide me to manage this situation and we are on 4.7.

Thanks in advance.

let me make a conclusion to check if the question is clear.

Your fiscal year is from October to September.

You have made the depreciation run for period 4 (January) but depreciation should be posted in period 3 (december)?

    Is this correct so far?

Answer: This is not possible. If depreciation for period 4 is already posted it is not possible to post depreciation for period 3.

But nevertheless the depreciation for year is correct. It is only posted in another period.

    regards Bernhard

It appears you changed Capitalization date and OpDepStart date in Asset Master.

These dates are not Asset Value dates. First restore dates to original dates in Asset Master ie reversing to original dates.

Hope you did IO settlement at KO88. Reverse the IO settlement. Go to KO88 and enter your IO and go to Menu Settlement-Reverse. This will reverse your earlier postings .Do it for all 4 IOs

Now again go to KO88 and enter your IO and with correct period/Asset value date and execute. Do it for all IOs

Go to AFAB and repeat Dep Run
