HI !!

At the time of initial loading of ur data into ur data target then u will use init/full option.

If there is any further uploads i.e,, if u r uploading new of modified records into ur infocube which is already having data then u will go for the Delta option...

Hope this helps..

Hi ,

I know that when you are going to load any changes that occured in R/3 side then we go for delta load.

As for my knowledge....

The document changes are brought from communication structure to either setup table (for full or initial load with statistical setup) or update queue to delta queue and finally to BW using V3 update.

But my question is when does system recognises whether to go for full load or delta load.

Is it when you initialize the delta in BW side or

when u delete the setup tables or some other time.

thanks in advance

Hi Lisa,

To further clarify, the system does not automatically recognizes to go for DELTA update after a successful INIT DELTA Request. You have to manually change the Info Package to switch from Initialize Delta to Delta Request.

The system can only check if you request a Delta Request and you have not performed any INIT Delta. It will not allow it.

But still you can perform a FULL Update (REPAIR) w/c of course will come from SETUP Tables just in case you already performed INIT DELTA Request.

Hope I have helped, if I did please grant points...
