transfer date for asset transfer in AS91

Hi,

we go-lived in 1 July 2011 that time we took asset transferred date as 30 June 2011. But now client has acquired new business and want to bring in SAP , so I want to change asset transferred date. So will it affect previous depreciation calculation?

After asset upload we took depreciation run up-to current month.

please reply earliest.

regards,

devesh

    hi

depreciation is calculated not on asset transfered date but on dep start date . maintain the same depreciation start date as before it will not create any impact on the change in asset transfered date being changed

    Hello Davesh,

If the new business will become part of company code that was go-lived on 1 July 2011, there will be an impact if you change asset legacy transfer date. Let us say, you put July 2012 to be the legacy transfer date, the closed fiscal year will become 2011 instead of 2010 (OAAR).

But if the new business will become another company code, there would be no impact in the current set-up.

    Thanks!
