Showing incorrect Oracle Version

Dear All,

I have an query I am using oracle 10g (10.2.0.4.0) on windows and ecc6.

The problem is in abap dump I am getting Database version. "OCI_10201_SHARE (10.2.0.2.0) "

But we have all the latest Opatch 36. Form where this OCI_10201_SHARE version is coming and how can I upgrade.

Please Suggest me.

Regards,

Pradeep Kumar

    Hi Pradeep,

You are using an older version of Oracle Client for your DB.

Update your Oracle client to the latest one from the marketplace.

You can check the Oracle Client Information of your SAP System in Transaction "SM51" > Select "Server Name" > "Release Notes"

eg; Latest Oracle client for 10.2.0.4 should be showing as Database Client Library : OCI_10201_SHARE (10.2.0.4.0)

Refer https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/998004 on how to apply latest Oracle Client on the central and dialog instance.

    Hi Pradeep,

Could you apply the latest kernel and check. There seems to be mismatch in kernel version and db version.

    Hope this is useful.
