Capture a note on prod order operations (gr.than standard user fields size)

Hello PP experts,

I am looking for an alternative solution to allow our shop floor controllers to capture a short note on prod order operations since user fields only offer 20 char (AFVU USR00...USR11).

I believe enhancement PPCO0012 allows to activate cust. field at the header level but not at the operations level? Am I right or would you have any solution to suggest?

What kind of note are you trying to capture and how are you trying to capture?

There is a long text option in both production order operation details and confirmation of operation details. Are you looking for something else?

Hi Jeevan,

I should have mentionned: we use long text for describing and printing work instructions. I am looking for a field we could easily recuperate in COOIS or reports. We want to avoid searching text strings in the long text.

Examples of notes are:

status of external processing

status of FAI

etc...

Hi,

In customization for confirmation screen, OPK0, you can include a long text area to confirmation transaction CO11N. You can have this long text filled during confirmation. You can report this confirmation text via COOIS, when it is called by confirmation list option.
