HI,

Plz read note - 858239

It can contain information about the Product Version, and thereby serve as source to determine the BOM to be used in a SC Purchasing document.

It can contain Price conditions, which are adopted into any SC purchasing document (with Item Category = L) as document conditions.

However, it is important to realize some differences in behaviour:

The Subcontracting Info record is created for the header material only. NOT for the components.

Only for the header material it makes sense to relate to a Production Version because this is what determines the alternative BOM and hereby the components in it

The Subcontracting Info Record must be Plant-specific, in order to be able to relate to the production Version. (The Version field is not visible otherwise!)

When the Subcontracting info record has price conditions then the net price deriving from the conditions is dealing with the labor done by the subcontractor.

It will not be used to update the Material Average Price on the Material Master

The cost price will be found later as the labor + the cost of the components included.

For a Purchase requisition it is not possible to determine the correct Product Version, even the Vendor is specified. It will just pick the first valid version it can find.

When creating the Purchase Order from this Requisition, you will get a pop-up which allows you to let the "correct" production version overwrite the one coming from the Requisition. This is the case, when you create a PO with a vendor that has a different production version assigned in its info record as it is included in the Requisition.

Thanks,

Yogesh
