    Hi Rajani,

Place the .a2a file into the archive folder where you have MDME 5.5 installed (i.e. C:\Program Files\SAP MDME 5.5\Server\Archives). Start the console, mount and start the server, right click on the server and select 'Unarchive Repository ...'.

    Hi Rajani,

Does the repository mount under the server? If yes, you may have to righlt click on the repository and select 'Update Repository'. It the repository does not show up under your server check the 'reports' and 'logs' folder in C:\Program Files\SAP MDME 5.5\Server to see what may be going wrong.

    Regards,

    Oliver

    Hi Rajani,

Which version of MDM are you on- 5.5.24.06? Are you on UNIX or Windows server?

When my console goes into hanging mode, I usually reboot the windows server, and that seemed to help. For UNIX, it resulted in crash, and the log files seemed to be the issue.

In my case, as my the number of tables in my repository grew, and as I added my security config, the repository started taking longer to unarchive. But never more than 5 minutes in any case.

    Good luck!

    Savi
