File Stuck In Ready Folder

Former Member

Hi All,

I am facing a problem related to auto-imports in SAP MDM tool.

When we place a XML file in Ready folder of a Port, it is not moving ahead i.e. Neither is it getting imported and moving to Archive folder nor it is throwing any kind of exception. So it is stuck in ready folder itself.

Also i have checked there is no file in any of the exception folders which might stop this file from moving ahead.

This is happening for this single Port only and all the other ports are working fine and files are getting auto imported.

If i try to import it manually through Import Manager, then records are getting imported.

So please advise me on what could be the reason of the problem stated above.

Thank you.

Hello,

One quick thing that you can try is, make the manual, uploaded the repository and then make the port automatic again.

This should solve the problem.

Else check in the console port setting, is it set to block on exception, if yes, then change it.

Also when you import the file manually, does it give ready for import or you have to do some changes.

Hi Abhishek,

I will try what you have said. And yes status is Ready To Import only.

Hi ,

Please check the Authorisation in MDIS , I have faced a similar scenario when the data is getting stuck in the Ready Folder and not moving anywhere , Please check with the basis team for the authorisation and ask him to assign the Admin access .

Hi,

There could be a few reasons

  • Exceptions - check port status in console and files in exception folder

  • Space shortage - for temporary solution remove earlier files from archive folder and refresh.

  • Incorrect logon credentials - Check the username/pwd mentioned For your repository under ur MDIS under Auxilary Servers in console (same setting can be checked under MDIS.ini on server but there password will be encrypted)

  • Other MDIS issues - check MDIS logs under Auxilary server after mounting ur MDIS server.

Please revert with your findings.

Hi Ankush,

Please can you tell the OS on which MDM server is running, your MDIS version and File type. Meanwhile, Please try by changing file name in all upper characters or all lower characters..

Hi Shiv,

I am not sure of the OS. But Version of MDIS is Version 7.1 (7.1.07.252).

And file type is XML. Also file name is in all upper characters and numerics.

what about FIle Extension. Is it also in upper Characters. Try by switching the File extension in upper characters or lower characters..
