SAP 4.7 WAS 620 Installation question...

Hi,

We are in process of installing CI on Host1 and DB on Host2. This is for High availability. If CI goes down on Host1, DB Host2 will take over the CI and Vice versa.

I have following questions:-

1)I have created the following file systems which is global to Host1 and Host2

/usr/sap/<SID>

/sapmnt/<SID>

/usr/sap/trans

/db2/db2<sid> (for db2 database instance home)

Is this correct OR Do I need to create any more file systems which is global to Host1 and Host2?

2) We have created the Virtual host name to Host1 and Host2. But during the SAP installation we used the actual host name ( we should have used the virtual hostnames) ....but is there any way we can correct the problem without reinstalling the SAP (i.e changing the Default / Start and Instance profile) ?

3) Do I need to create the different profiles (Default /start /instance) based on the virtual host and actual host name??

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
