Change the message (Area: CL, message number 140) from warning to error

Hi,

I don't know from where path in SPRO is possible to modify from

warning to error message number 140, message class CL.

Could You help me ?

Typically message control is done either in OBMSG (by control area and message no.) or OBA5. In both cases, Application Area "CL" gets the same result "No control of messages is possible for work area CL"

May need a customization for this message control as it looks as no configuration option is available. Just my opinion. Thanks.

Just as a service for all who do not want to lookup SE91 or browse the internet to find what the message number stands for:

Message class
CL - Class & cannot be used in object dependencies
Message number
Message 140 - Class & cannot be used in object dependencies

Goto system attributes of system messages and click on the message number, change it to E from W.

hi, in which transaction you are getting this message? in SPRO there are different paths for defining system message attributes based on area...for example Purchasing related message or inventory related messages etc..so please let us know in which transaction you are getting this message.
