costing run-costing stage error

we run costing run, in the costing stage, we find two error in the log:

(1)

Value of costing item 00017 in itemization is 0

Message no. CK361

Diagnosis

The cost estimate contains an item with Material Component, which although having no errors was costed with a value of zero.

Procedure

Check the item with number 00017 in the itemization of the assembly concerned.

how do I know which is item 17?

(2) we selected 300 materials, but structure explosion shows 303 materials, inside the information log, 4 materials shows CK173

message, saying material type not allowed for costing, but why 303 materials in structure exposion and costing phase, what are the additional 3 materials different from selection? any way to find out?

    Hi,

CK361 is caused by the settings of the costing lot size the activity types. Just one example:

Cost center XXXX defines a activity type OTHER which has a fixed price of 0,01 with price unit 10.000. The costs for consuming of 10.000 MIN are 0,01 YYY. If you cost material 1234567890 (just an example) the system finds a price for the activity, but since the costing lot size is 1 PC you get a price of 0 YYY!

You can avoid this by changing the lot size or checking if the price for the activity type is correct. As you know if everything is correct or you don't want to change your master data you can use transaction OPR4_CK to hide this message (this would avoid a message for EVERY activity type which applies to the described behaviour).

In transaction OPR4_CK you can set the severity of message CK361 to message type I (Information), W (Warning), E (Error), etc.

Sometimes customers have message ck361 due to rounding in CK11N. They have to increase number of decimals allowed. See note 335857.

    regards

    Waman

    1) This is due to total cost estimate being 0. This may be due to inproper BOM or routing. The error will go if these errors are resolved.

    2) When the system does structure explosion it takes all semi-finished materials also as per the BOM of the material you choose (which are below level materials). You can see the list of the materials in the analysis step.
