SLT Load not working after upgrading from version 15 to 22

Dear SAP Experts,

As per a case we opened previously we were having some inconveniences on version 15 of the database client and studio trying to import tables using the data provisioning option in studio.

So after updating the database and client in sles11 and studio in windows to version 22 our slt works even worse buy not presenting the tables, this as previously in version 15 we could at least view the tables.

Is there some other work needed in the SLT system so that this can work correctly? Do we have to delete some profiles, tables or data and create the connection again?

Error message using the webdynpro is "Error when creating SYS_REPL schema"... which was resolved before by an internal dll, but in this case we are completely lost.

Thanks for any help or tips in advance as we already have a case open as of the 1st with out this solved and losing time to have this fixed at an increasing rate.

Hi Tomas or related SAP Experts,

We were able to upate to SP05 of the DMIS, but after starting to commence

with the replication via the webdynpro we are getting two errors.

• Error occured when openning db connection

• Verification of Schema failed due to connection issues

Can you please indicate what steps we may take to solve the above.

Can I download "DMIS 2010 for SAP HANA ENTERPRISE 1.0" or do i have to download "DMIS 2010_1_700: SP 0005" , also do we have to download version SP04 as we are upgrading from ver SP03.

Another question regarding the SP05, it seems that i cannot download from the sap marketplace and it is obligating me to download via SAP SOL MAN, is there anyway to get this by not using SolMan?

You need to patch DMIS to SP05 - if you are currently having SP03 then you need to apply SP04 and SP05.

This is valid for all NW support packages after certain date. You need to use Solution Manager to approve the package - or in exceptional case that you do not have Solution Manager - you can open SAP message to XX-SER-SAPSMP-SWC component and explain your situation to SAP and ask for approval of packages in download basket.

First important thing to note is that it is not enough to upgrade just client and studio - as most important thing you also need to upgrade HANA database - all components must be on same revision.

Second important point is that because you are going from HANA SP02 (rev <= 18) to SP03 (rev >= 20) you also need to upgrade SLT to SP05.

Please confirm that you have all components on compatible levels as highlighted above.

Hello,

another important point to note is that SP05 for SLT is bringing a lot of changes. For you probably most important change is that new roles are defined having names with following format:

<repl. schema>_*

Example: In case of schema ECCPROD you will have following roles:

ECCPROD_DATA_PROV
ECCPROD_POWER_USER
ECCPROD_USER_ADMIN

You need to grant role <repl. schema>_DATA_PROV to user that you will use to access Data Provisioning screen - otherwise you will not see anything there.
