DIR_PUT error

While changing the parameter login/password_max_idle_initial=60, we got following error message:

**DIR_TRANS
IP address \sapmnt\trans**

**W:DIR_TRANS directory
IP address \sapmnt\trans does not exist**

**DIR_PUT G:\usr\sap\DV1\upg\ABAP**

**W:Changes to DIR_PUT can result in problems**

we found that trans directory is not in the specified location,thus please guide us how to change the profile dir_put

When I try to change the parameter value of DIR_PUT, the pop up message is coming as

Parameter value not permitted:

W Changes to DIR_PUT can result in problems

Do you still want to copy the parameter?

Please guide me and tell me what to do in such case...........

Hello karthikeyan,

Are you still giving value as G:\usr\sap\DV1\upg\ABAP? If yes, just ignore the warning and click continue and hit save.

Yes, Path G:\usr\sap\DV1\upg\ABAP exist in my system.

Good. You now need to update the parameter - Simply go and change it in RZ11 and re-try again.

The parameter is dynamically switcable and does not require restart.

You can set the parameter in RZ10 later on.

Hello,

Path G:\usr\sap\DV1\upg\ABAP exist in your system? If not, please create ...\upg\ABAP and set the value in RZ10 and restart the server.

You need not to change parameter DIR_PUT as it is used for upgrade directory location.
