rate analysis for activity

How to perform rate analysis?

Eg: One project has a no of activities. Among one is brick work.

To derive cost for brick work ; Qty X Rate = Amount

Rate analysis (Rate) will be calculated as composition of

Labour, sand , cement, brick etc...

So,

Rate for brickwork = Labour perportion X rate/unit + Sand perportion X rate/unit + cement perportion X rate/ unit.......... + other cost (lumpsum)

Please guide on the present scenerio.
