List of affected objects as part of SP upgrade.

Hi,

We are performing SP upgrade in our whole landscape.

I am aware that as part of sp-stack queue calculation, we can generate side effect report. Also post upgrade we can generate affected objects list from SPAU.

However is it possible to generate list of SAP objects being affected as part of SP upgrade from SP-X to SP-Y before upgrade?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Cheers !!!

Ashish

Hi,

Thanks for your response, but the question is whether we can get the list of SAP standard objects before upgrade so that the impact assessment can be done by technical team?

Thanks,

Ashish

You can check the side-effect report linked to each of the SP's to be implemented. Side effect reports are available in SMP

Thanks Juan for response.

As mentioned in original query, I have already downloaded side effect report but that is having around 899 notes.:)

so does it mean that to get the affected object list, we need to check each and every notes?

If possible, we wanted to get the list of objects so that impact assessment could be done prior to upgrade.

Hi,

yes, you could see all the listed side affects in MOPZ, while defining stack,

check there would be a link as "See all side affects".. it is in MOPZ step perform implementation.

Please check.

Thanks,

Hi Jansi,

Thanks for your response.

This query is regarding the object list; not the side effect report. If you read my response above, side effect report has already been downloaded, it just contains list of SAP notes, not the object.

Thats exactly what it means, such list of objects does not exist and if it did it will be extensive. A SP is not more than a collection of notes, so to know exactly what objects are to be modified you need to check the notes. Now if you are concern about a particular area you could filter the notes so you just read the relevant ones or apply the SP's into a test system and evaluate the impact prior releasing into your production landscape.

OR you were referring to 'all' the 'objects' which will be 'upgraded' ?

Thanks
