Hi folks,
We are looking at setting up a SAP business connector reverse proxy infrastructure and had a question regarding the different SSL versions of the software.
The reverse proxy server would be a 128 SSL version and we were wondering whether the internal server needs to be a 128 SSL version as well or can it be a 40 bit SSL version ?
The following questions pop up:
1) Is it possible to mix 128 bit and 40 bit server software in a reverse proxy scenario ?
2) When we want to identify users with client certificates - the client certificates need to be stored on the internal BC -> can we store 128 client certificates on the 40bit SSL version and use them ?
3) Can you define the protocol between reverse and internal as non-SSL ( just SOCK ) and still use client certificates as identification means on the HTTPS proxy port on the reverse server ?
Regards,
Steven
Hi Steven,
I am working on a similar setup and running in the same questions. Have you solved that issue?
Kai
