Is solution manager a component of SAP ERP 6.0

hi all,

i have studied that ERP consits of solution manager. and it also says it is an additional component. so solman is an additional component of erp 6.0?

but basis people says these two are diferent products. iam confused?

any clarrifications please post

Please check in the table CVERS if the component with the name ST exists or not . If Yes , then the solution manager component is a part of the system and it is a solution manager system. You should not find a component ST in ERP 6.0 system. ERP 6.0 and Solution manager are different soutions from SAP .

thanks for the information.

i have checked the CVERS table it contains ST-PI release 2005_1_700 and it says it is solution tools plug in and the type of component is netweaver plug in. so we can say it is a component of erp?

Hi,

Solution Manager is not a component of SAP ERP 6.0. It is separate solution all together.

ST and ST-A/PI are solution Manager plugins using which data from ERP can flow to Solution Manager.

You can say Solman can be part of SAP CRM since it has BBPCRM component which is also a component for SAP CRM.

ST-PI is solution manager plugin tool which is required in all satellite systems. In Solution manager you will find components like ST,BBPCRM,CPRXRPM . The component ST , you will not probably find in any system other than Solution Manager.

Even i have the same doubt ,that if we add a component to ERP , SOLMAN will be included in ERP?
