EM without AS

can I use Event Management without an AS (application server)?

i am already using a non-SAP event management system with business processes executing on a non-SAP platform. I want to 'capture' the events from the non-SAP EM into SAP EM and then process (in SAP) those events.

can event handlers be created in EM without AOTs and Business Process Types etc - objects that are normally in AS?

Hello Tiberiu,

yes that's possible. You can use either the BAPIs directly in EM, PI or Webservices. You don't need an SAP Application System. You can define your own BPTs and AOTs in EM.
