Hi,

What is the purpose of standard dso on top of write optimized. I know we can use standard dso for reporting but even write optimized can be used for reporting even though it is not recommended by SAP.

Thanks in advance

krish

hi kris,

the point is a write optimised DSO does not support delta functionality, so to maintain the Delta loads in an existing flow containing Write optimized DSO, we will have to go with a Standard DSO.

so the flow will now looks like :

*DSO1(write optimised)--> DSO2 (standard) --> Cube. *

hope this will help u.

thanks

Hi

Write optimised dso is the recommended dso if we want to load the data into the dso in the data staging layer. Because it doesnot contain 3 tables inside it. like standard dso . So better loading performance first load the data to write optimised dso and then to the standard dso.

Thanx & Regards,

Hello Kris,

Write Optimised DSO is for faster loading into BW. Which does not contain Change Log Table. Hence Delta Functionality cannot be implemented.

Hence we use Write optimised DSO(Faster Loading)-> Standard DSO(Detla Functionality)->Cube(MultiDimensional Reporting)
