Purpose of the Check selection when creating CVCs in APO - DP

Dear SAP APO folks,

Its great to be a part of this forum, providing oppurtunity to share ideas and knowledge.

We have requirement to validate the MD used as a characterstic values while creating CVCs.

To meet it, i found the Check selection section but unable to explore the usability of the options available.

Hope to find some good inputs here.
