VARIANT CONFIGURATION

Dear Experts,

I am new to SAP and first time working on Variant Configuration. So need ur expertise help.....

Can u guys give me some clarity on writing code in Dependency editor in CU01 in Variant Configuration.

For Example,

If my configurable material is a BIKE and Characteristics are ENGINE, COLOR, TYRE and SDCOM. And I just want to use procedure (Dependency) as all engine type comes with all colors with all kind of tyres.

What should be the code in this case????

and could u pls explain me about the use of SDCOM as a characteristics.
