Fund center budgeting and releasing

Hello All,

We are using BCS with Fund center + Commitment item. We have a scenario where in need to give budget for entire fiscal year and then releasing the part of budget every month.

For this do I need to create two separate budget types and activate the AVC on one budget type?

Will release functionality given (BCS -> Basic settings -> definition of budget data -> budget releases) in customization doesnt work for fund center when only used? I tried of creating a new budget type for release here and released the budget but my AVC checks the budget type what ever is created for budget but not for budget release.

Also is there any way to have budget structure for commitment items similar to fund center (top down kind of concept)?
