jcontrol donu00B4t start with startsap

Hi,

I finalize an installation of Web As 640 Abap+Java for BW 3.5 with stack 10, but now, i don´t know the cause, the startsap doesn´t start the JAVA (ABAP is ok), and in work dir the dev_jcontrol (and all others files for engine) are not generated, so i think that the script are not trying start jcontrol. I already try updating the kernel to stack 11 whitout succesful, using smicm nothing happens, but if i execute mannualy /jcontrol pf=, this start dispatcher and server normally.

Some idea for this issue ? (hp-ux/oracle)

Thank you All.

KRIS

    Hi,

    Did you check out this...

In the case of an add-in installation (ABAP + Java), when you start and stop ABAP instances, the corresponding Java instances are automatically also started and stopped, by default. If you want to deactivate the automatic starting of the Java instances, you need to set the instance profile parameter rdisp/j2ee_start to the value 0 in transaction RZ10 or to automatically start the java part you will have to activate by making the parameter to 1.

    Regards,
