GLM - Vertical Pitch

Dear Experts,

Client requirement is that, they want 5 label to be printed on one Label stock

Label stock size: 22 X 30 CM ( W X H )

Label size: 20 X 5 CM ( W X H )

I have configured the label with 20 X 5 CM only in CG42.

in Label stock (CBGL_LS02), maintained above data and in addition, enter following data

No. of Label per Row: 1

No. of Label per Column 5

Label Pitch: Vertical : 1 CM

Distance from Edge: Left 1CM

Distance from Edge: Top: 1 CM

Now I am getting following 2 error

Error 1:

Generation: WARNING: The defined Vertical pitch between the labels is too small. Labels may overlap or missing.

Message no. CBGL00853

Just to check, when i am increasing the pitch value to 5 CM, then this error is not coming. where is this pitch setting. what i need to do if i want vertical pitch = 1CM

Error 2:

As mentioned above, i have maintained following parameters

Distance from Edge: Left 1CM

Distance from Edge: Top: 1 CM

but when i see the preview, system is taking into consideration the 'Distance from Left' only and not considering the ' Distance from Top' and thus label is getting started from TOP EDGE of the label.

what could be the reason that, system is not considering the ' Distance from Top' which is 1CM in this case.

I will be glad if you kindly convey me the resolution for the same.

Thanking You

Regards

Amol

Hello Amol,

Error1:

Warning: the vertical pitch is not the distance between the end of the first label and the beginning of the second. The vertical pitch is the distance between the top of the first label and the top of the secong ( vertical pitch = height of the label + space you want between two labels).

So, If the height of your label is 5cm and you want 1cm between your labels, you need to define a vertical pitch equal to 6cm. (If you put 5cm, you will not have any space between your labels).

Error2:

I am not sure for this error. Sometimes, there are some differences between the"preview" mode and the "printed" mode. To be sure, you need to really print your label to check the configuration.

You're welcome!

Never saw this warning. May be it's link with the 1st error. Ajust your label stock and check if you are still this warning.

Let me know meanwhile i am looking for an other reason.
